CHS Organizes Sakai Training for Faculty

The CHS is organizing a three day Sakai Training program for faculty of the School of Medicine and Dentistry.

The program is expected to introduce the faculty of SMD to the Sakai, a Learning Management System being used by the university to promote online teaching and learning.

The program which runs from the 15th to the 17th of July is expected to take lecturers of the SMD through some of the important features of Sakai such as creating online courses, administering online tests and assignments, grading students’ tests and quizzes and using Turnitin to check for the originality of students’ work.

Participating faculty members are expected to bring along the following:

  • Laptop Computer
  • Course outline for the first semester of the 2015-2016 academic year
  • Power Point slides to be used next semester (lecture notes)
  • Any digital material to be loaded for students’ use

 

Future training for the other schools of the CHS is scheduled from the 16 – 18 and 23 – 25 September.
