Matriculation Ceremonies for Distance Education Students

Matriculation ceremonies for Distance Education (DE) students will be held concurrently in the Accra, Kumasi and Tamale Regional Learning Centres at 10.30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016.

 

All newly admitted DE students are to attend and take the Matriculation Oath, which signifies their official entry as students of the University.

 

Students are to attend the ceremonies as follows:

-         Accra Learning Centre: Students from Tsito, Cape Coast, Takoradi, Koforidua and Accra Learning

          Centres

-         Kumasi Learning Centre: Students from Kumasi and Sunyani Learning Centres

-         Tamale Learning Centre: Students from Bolgatanga, Wa and Tamale Learning Centres

 

All freshmen/women are expected to attend the ceremony, and will take the Matriculation Oath.

 

The prescribed attire is BLACK MATRICULATION GOWN OVER FORMAL DRESS.

 

Students are required to collect academic gowns to be worn at the ceremony from their Learning Centres. The gowns are to be returned to officials at the Matriculation grounds immediately after the ceremonies. Failure to do this will attract a penalty.

Freshmen should be seated by 9:45 a.m. at the designated regional centre, and are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly manner appropriate for the ceremony.
