AUGUST 2024 CONGREGATION CEREMONIES
University of Ghana announces that Congregation Ceremonies will be held for graduate students, and undergraduate students of the University of Ghana School of Law and the University of Ghana Medical School, who successfully completed their programmes of study during the 2023/2024 academic year.
The August 2024 Congregation ceremonies which will take place on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Cedi Conference Centre (CCC), Department of Economics, will be held as follows:
Morning Session:
University of Ghana School of Law (including Masters), University of Ghana Medical School,
School of Graduate Studies (PhD)
9.00 a.m. (Graduands to be seated by 8:30 a.m.)
Afternoon Session:
School of Graduate Studies (All other Masters)
2:00 p.m. (Graduands to be seated by 1:30 p.m.)
Accordingly, students who have completed their programmes of study and wish to be presented during the August 2024 Congregation Ceremony are required to take note of the following:
- Check to confirm that their names appear on the list of graduating students.
- Ensure that all outstanding financial obligations to the University have been fulfilled.
- Register online from Thursday, July 18, 2024 to Monday, August 5, 2024
- Graduands are required to pay a graduation fee of GH₵400 at any branch of Ecobank, or Online using Visa/MasterCard/Mobile Money and proceed to their designated collection points for their graduation gown, invitation cards for graduand and two guests.

List of graduands to be presented at the August 2024 Congregation Ceremony will be available on the University’s website at: https://www.ug.edu.gh
Graduating students should note the following:
Admission to the congregation venue is strictly by invitation. (Each graduand may invite a maximum of two guests).
Graduands are also expected to be seated at the Cedi Conference Centre in the academic gown appropriate to their degrees, worn preferably over a suit/jacket with tie, or other suitable attire.
To avoid traffic congestion on the Congregation day:
1. All entry and exit points to/from the Legon Campus, University of Ghana will be opened to the public.
2. The general public is advised to use alternative routes if they do not have any immediate business on the Legon Campus.
