Eight UG Students Acquire Hands-On Experience through International Virtual Internship

Eight students from the University of Ghana have successfully completed a three-week international virtual internship programme designed to provide hands-on, practical learning experiences.
The programme, jointly organised by the UG Careers and Counselling Directorate, Ashesi University, Münster University (Germany) and the United States International University-Africa (Kenya), engaged students in analysing real-life case studies from partner companies and presenting their findings and recommendations to company representatives.
At a brief ceremony to award certificates to the participants, the Registrar of the University, Mrs. Emelia Agyei-Mensah, commended the students for their dedication to learning and global collaboration. She encouraged them to continue pursuing opportunities that build essential skills and position them for success in an increasingly competitive world.
The students expressed appreciation to University management for creating avenues to broaden their horizons through experiential learning. The delegation was led by Rev. Dr. Bridget Ben-Naimah, Director of the UG Careers and Counselling Directorate, who highlighted the importance of such initiatives in preparing graduates for the job market.
This internship reflects the University of Ghana’s commitment to delivering a transformative student experience and strengthening global partnerships, in line with its Strategic Priorities.
