IAS Hosts Delegation From Lehigh University

The Director of the Institute of African Studies (IAS), Professor Akosua Adomako Ampofo, has hosted some faculty members from the Lehigh University, Pennsylvania, USA. Discussions held were on joint research, faculty exchange programmes, PhD supervision and collaborative-comparative research between the two institutions.

The six-member delegation was led by Dr. Mohamed S. El-Aasser, a Professor of Chemical Engineering and Vice-President for International Affairs. The other members of the team were Ms. Debra H. Nyby, Director for International Services; Donald E. Hall, Ann Siegel Dean; James B. Peterson, II, Associate Professor of English and Director of African Studies; and Mark Orrs, Director and Professor of Practice; Kwame Essien, Associate Professor of African and African Diaspora History, all of the College of Arts and Sciences, Lehigh University.
