The Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) has launched the 34th edition of its flagship publication, the State of the Ghanaian Economy Report (SGER).
The 2024 edition provides in-depth analysis and insights from key economic indicators covering agriculture, industry, services, education, health, fiscal policy, international GDP growth, inflation and public finance. It also features a special chapter on Debt, Investment and Growth, examining how public borrowing and investment efficiency impact Ghana’s fiscal sustainability and long-term development prospects.
The report includes practical recommendations across key sectors for government, policymakers and development partners. These recommendations provide actionable guidance to strengthen economic resilience and promote social well-being.
The launch of the report reaffirmed ISSER’s role as a leading centre for evidence-based research and policy engagement. The Institute continues to serve as a platform for dialogue on economic direction and inclusive growth in Ghana.
