UG, Eban Capital Ltd. & NASCO Feeding Minds Sign MoU for UG@75 Legacy Project

In celebrating the University of Ghana's 75th anniversary, Management of the University has partnered with Eban Capital Ltd. and NASCO Feeding Minds to raise funds to support the establishment of long-lasting legacy projects.

At the signing ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, stated, “after several deliberations, we have settled on some projects which we as, an investor, are embarking on, requiring a lot of capital. So, we are happy to have this partnership with Eban and NASCO. I’m glad that we are at the point where we are signing the agreement”.

On his part, Mr. Jim Amegah, the Chief Executive Officer of Eban Capital Ltd., disclosed his organisation’s interest in collaborating with financial institutions to raise $100million for the development of digital infrastructure, lecture halls, and other projects for the University.

Similarly, Mr. Banasco Seidu Nuhu, CEO of NASCO Tech and NASCO Feeding Minds pledged his company’s willingness to work with all the parties involved, while raising $20million to support the University of Ghana in its quest to build an ultramodern ICT facility and provide a laptop for each student.

The signing of the agreement by the partners was facilitated by the Office of Legal Counsel, represented by Mrs. Claudia Abbey, Legal Officer, and Mrs. Ama Pinkrah Sowatey, Assistant Registrar.

The ceremony was witnessed by Prof. Akosua Adomako Ampofo, Chair of the UG@75 Planning Committee; Prof. Clement Appah, Co-Chair, UG@75 Planning Committee; Prof. Samuel Kwasi Dartey-Baah, Director of Institutional Advancement Office; Ms Pascaline Songsore; Senior Assistant Registrar, Public Affairs Directorate; Mrs. Joana Omaboe, Assistant Registrar, UG@75 Secretariat.  

A delegation from NASCO Feeding Minds and Eban Capital Ltd were also present.
