UG Pays Tribute to Alumni and Others Lost in Helicopter Crash

The University of Ghana is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of three of its distinguished alumni in the recent helicopter crash near Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region. Also among those who lost their lives were Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Mr. Samuel Aboagye, Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo.

In a social media post, the University extended its heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and communities impacted by the incident.

“Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to the families and loved ones affected by this heartbreaking loss,” the statement read.

The University acknowledges the contributions of the deceased and stands in solidarity with all those affected during this difficult time.
