Vice-Chancellor Leads UG Delegation to Pay Courtesy Call on Wa Naa

On Friday, 16th August 2024, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, led a UG delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Overlord of the Wa Traditional Area, Wa Naa Seidu Fuseini Pelpuo IV, at his palace.

The Wa Naa welcomed the Vice-Chancellor and her entourage, expressing his honour at hosting them. He expressed his deep appreciation to the University for establishing a Learning Centre in the region. The presence of the Centre, he noted, allows residents who cannot travel to Accra to experience the premier University's offerings in Wa.

She emphasised that paying homage to the Overlord was essential, given his vital role in hosting and supporting the University of Ghana Wa Learning Centre.

She briefed him on the recent matriculation of the first batch of students at the University's two newly created city campuses, expressing hope that, in the future, all Regional Learning Centres could achieve similar status.
