UG’s Prof. Samuel Agyei-Mensah Joins Imperial College London as Provost’s Visiting Professor
Prof. Samuel Agyei-Mensah, of the Department of Geography and Resource Development at the University of Ghana and former Provost of the College of Humanities, has been appointed as the Provost’s Visiting Professor of Population Health at Imperial College London for the 2023/2024 academic year.
The Provost’s Visiting Professors (PVP) scheme of the Imperial College was established to attract leading academics and is designed to enrich the institution's intellectual community through their contributions to scholarship, teaching, and programming closely aligned with their research areas.
Prof. Agyei-Mensah will be hosted within the Department of Environmental and Civil Engineering at Imperial College London during his time at Imperial College.
Expressing his enthusiasm about this appointment, Prof. Agyei-Mensah remarked, "I am delighted to join one of the highest ranked universities in the world and will use this opportunity to strengthen the collaborative relationship between the University of Ghana and Imperial College."
Prof. Agyei-Mensah is a Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences and Professor Extraordinary at the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
The University of Ghana congratulates Prof. Agyei-Mensah on this significant achievement and wishes him a fruitful and successful tenure at Imperial College London.
