Office of Institutional Advancement launches Medium Term Strategic Plan

The Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA) has launched its medium-term strategic plan from 2021-2024. The medium-term strategic plan spans a period of three years. Established in 2017, the present medium term strategic plan is its first strategic initiative.

Launching the Strategic plan, Professor Gordon Awandare, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Academic and Student Affairs congratulated the Director of OIA and his team on putting the plan together. Professor Awandare urged them to work fully to harness the potential of the UG brand.

As a University we have a very strong brand but for a long time, this brand has not be adequately exploited. So, this office is strategically placed to lead the University to exploit the strength  and potency of our brand. This document is the beginning of reaping the benefits of our brand and I hope that the document will be revised to continue reaping the benefits”, Prof. Awandare said.

Overall, the 3-year medium-term strategic plan is based on four strategic goals: Governance, Visibility, Collaboration and partnership and Resource Mobilization.

This Strategic plan aligns with the University-wide strategic plan and is mindful of the fact that the University intends to revise its current 10-year strategic plan which expires in 2024.

Present at the launch were the Professor Kwasi Dartey-Baah, Director, Office of OIA; Mr. Francis Kwabena Boachie, Chief Information Technology Officer; Ms. Pascaline Songsore, Senior Assistant Registrar, Public Affairs Directorate and all staff of the Office of Institutional Advancement.
