The International Association of Universities’ (IAU) 2017 International Conference, hosted by the University of Ghana, has just ended after an intensive three-day session (18-20 October, 2017. Preceding the Conference, was a two-day Global Meeting of Associations, held from 17-18 October, 2017.
The Opening Keynote was delivered by Professor Pedro Teixeira, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, University de Porto, Portugal in the magnificent Great Hall of the University of Ghana. The formal Opening of the Conference was held at ISSER Conference Facility, attended by Professor Pam Fredman, IAU President, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, Vice-Chancellor, University of Ghana, Secretary-General of the IAU, Dr. Hilligje van’t Land.
Prof. Kwesi Yankah, Minister of State for Tertiary Education, represented His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and formally opened the Conference. In attendance was the Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh.
