Vice-Chancellor Pays Courtesy Call on Bolgatanga Municipal Chief Executive

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nana Appiah Amfo and officials from the University of Ghana paid a courtesy visit to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly, Hon. Rex Asanga, as part of their working visit to the University's Learning Centre in the Municipality.

Hon. Asanga warmly welcomed the Vice-Chancellor and her delegation to the Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly and personally received them in his office. He expressed his pleasure at their visit and profound appreciation to the University's Management for the ongoing refurbishment of the Bolgatanga Learning Centre. He reassured the University of his continued support.

Prof. Amfo informed the MCE, that she was on a working visit to the Learning Centre and thought it appropriate to pay homage to the landlords as well as express appreciation, particularly to the MCE, for his support and intervention on matters affecting the University's Bolgatanga Learning Centre.

She emphasised that as a global brand, the University of Ghana must be well-represented across all its campuses, irrespective of the geographical location. Adding that, UG management was deeply committed to completing the refurbishment of the Centre's building as soon as possible, to ensure that it becomes fully operational.

Dr. Samuel Nuamah Eshun, Co-ordinator of the Bolgatanga Learning Centre, sought the MCE's continued support in resolving the issues concerning the Learning Centre.

Accompanying the Vice-Chancellor were Prof. Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, Provost of the College of Education (COE); Prof. Justice N. Bawole, Dean of the University of Ghana Business School; Mr. Joseph Oduro Nkansah, College Secretary; Dr. Elizier Taiba Ameyaw-Buronyah, Director, Public Affairs Directorate; Mrs. Lydia Anowa Nyako-Danquah, Director, Academic Affairs.
